Nanaimo RCMP are looking for the man who exposed himself to an 11-year-old girl near the Nanaimo Conservatory of Music on Friday.

The girl was sitting in the front foyer of the Conservatory at 375 Selby St. about 4:45 p.m. when a man outside the front door exposed himself and began to masturbate, said Nanaimo RCMP spokesman Const. Gary O’Brien.

The man left the area and when the girl’s mother arrived, she told her what happened. The mother reported the incident to police.

Mounties patrolled the area but could not find the man.

On Saturday, the girl provided a description to an RCMP forensic artist and a composite sketch was created. The man is believed to be Caucasian or First Nations, with a tanned complexion and short brown hair. He is believed to be in his 30s and five-foot-11-inches tall.

Anyone with information is asked to call Nanaimo RCMP at 250-754-2345 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
