A 25-year-old man Nanaimo man has been charged with one count of uttering death threats after a five-hour standoff at his home.
The man is alleged to have threatened his ex-wife before hunkering down in his central Nanaimo home on Monday. It was feared the man had a firearm.
Officers entered the home about 3 a.m. Tuesday and arrested the man. A pellet gun was found in a search.
The man’s name is not being released to protect the identity of the woman.
