More than a dozen vehicles were broken into overnight Friday in a residential area near Gordon Head Road, say Saanich police.

Items stolen from inside the cars include small electronics, loose change and other miscellaneous items.

Whoever broke into the vehicles used a sharp tool to punch through the locks in most instances, police report.

Vehicle owners are urged to lock their cars and to not leave any valuables inside.

Anyone with any information about the break-ins is asked to call 250-475-4321 or Greater Victoria Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
