A man and a woman were arrested after allegedly stabbing a man in his 50s in the 900 block of Pandora Avenue Friday afternoon. Several 911 calls came in around 1 p.m. with witnesses saying the victim had been stabbed three times.

Victoria police were given detailed descriptions of a man and woman heading west on Pandora Avenue pushing a stroller — with a cat inside — and wheeling a black suitcase. They were believed to be in possession of a large butcher knife.

Beat and bike officers with the Focused Enforcement Team were on scene within minutes and the pair were arrested near the intersection of Pandora and Blanshard.

Officers seized a knife and a club as evidence, said Sgt Barrie Cockle with the Focused Enforcement Team.

Cockle said it’s too early to say what the motive was for the stabbing.

The victim was taken to hospital with undetermined injuries.
