Victoria police are investigating a stabbing that took place Saturday morning outside an apartment building at 715 Vancouver St., near Richardson Street.
A 26-year-old man was taken into surgery at Victoria General Hospital with what were believed to be non-life-threatening injuries, said Victoria police Staff Sgt. Tom Sawyer.
The man is now recovering.
“We’re still looking for the suspect,” Sawyer said.
Police received a call about the stabbing at 3:15 a.m. Sawyer said detectives were getting conflicting stories from the people involved about what happened and why.
