A 41-year-old man was left with lacerations on his face after a fight in Saanich Friday night.
Saanich police responded to reports of a stabbing in the 3900 block of Wolf Street, in Gordon Head, about 8:45 p.m.
The victim was allegedly fighting with another man, who proceeded to stab him. Police said the two men knew each other.
A 45-year-old man was arrested without incident. He remains in custody on charges of assault with a weapon and uttering threats.
The 41-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment and later released.
