Man arrested after hole cut into bank wall in Sooke

Sooke RCMP have arrested a suspect in an attempted break-and-enter in which a hole was cut into a bank wall. Police were called to a report of a possible break-and-enter at the TD Canada Trust on Sooke Road on Thursday.

Sooke RCMP have arrested a suspect in an attempted break-and-enter in which a hole was cut into a bank wall.

Police were called to a report of a possible break-and-enter at the TD Canada Trust on Sooke Road on Thursday. Officers arrived to find damage to the drive-through ATM, where the garbage can and deposit-slip holder had been ripped off the wall.

They also found a hole approximately 15 centimetres in diameter cut through to the bank. but that wasn’t enough to allow entry.

Gregory John Cunningham, a 34-year-old Sooke resident, has been charged with breaking-and-entering, possession of house-breaking instruments and possession of methamphetamine.
