Nanaimo RCMP would like to reunite the owner of surveying equipment worth several hundred dollars with items recovered following an attempted vehicle break-in.
A Pentax AP-120 laser level with an orange carrying case was recovered Wednesday by officers near the 200 block of Taylor Place in Nanaimo.
The items, in a backpack, were left at the scene of an attempted vehicle break-in, police said. Officers recovered the items but the suspect was not apprehended.
The items in the backpack were not from the vehicle near which they were located, according to the RCMP.
