Ferry traffic is likely to be heavy this long weekend, with Monday the busiest day on many routes.

Several extra sailings have been added, including early-morning and late-night departures.

B.C. Ferries warned on Saturday that pay parking lots at Swartz Bay, Langdale, Duke Point and Tsawwassen terminals were full.

On Sunday afternoon, there were no reports of sailing waits on major routes.

For the Swartz Bay-Tsawwassen route on Monday, sailings begin at 6 a.m. and continue at the top of every hour until 10 p.m. There's one more sailing at 11:59 p.m.

Posts on Twitter reported that on Friday night, 21 volunteers had to be found to disembark from Queen of Oak Bay on the 7:30 p.m. sailing from Horseshoe Bay to Departure Bay after too many tickets were mistakenly sold for that sailing, pushing the passenger count over the maximum allowed.
