Fuel line damage blamed for spill on Malahat

A damaged fuel line on a sewage truck was responsible for a fuel leak on the Trans-Canada Highway from Cobble Hill to Langford on Wednesday.

A sheen ran down the middle of the southbound lanes and may have been a factor in a single-vehicle crash. A southbound pickup went off the highway into a ditch. The female driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Mainroad Contracting cleaned up the fuel.
