Foul play not suspected after body found in Langford

Police do not suspect foul play in the death of person whose remains were found in a wooded area of Langford on Friday. West Shore RCMP were called to a forested area in the 3500 block of the West Shore Parkway about 10:30 a.m.

West Shore RCMP were called to a forested area in the 3500 block of the West Shore Parkway about 10:30 a.m. after being alerted by a member of the public.

Police do not suspect foul play in the death of person whose remains were found in a wooded area of Langford on Friday.

West Shore RCMP were called to a forested area in the 3500 block of the West Shore Parkway about 10:30 a.m. after being alerted by a member of the public.

Officers from the Vancouver Island Integrated Major Crime Unit and RCMP Forensic Identification Services responded. Police said investigators “do not suspect criminality was involved and that there is no risk to the public.” RCMP and the B.C. Coroners Service continue to investigate.

The name of the deceased was not released.
