Flare gun fired at woman in Nanaimo home invasion

Nanaimo RCMP are investigating a home invasion they believe was targeted and connected to the drug trade.

Just before 1 p.m. Sunday, a man kicked in the door of a home on Doric Avenue. He confronted the female homeowner and the flare gun was fired. The man was seen leaving in a car with several males. Nothing was taken and no one was injured, police said.
