Fire breaks out twice at Victoria hotel

The Victoria Fire Department was called to Hotel 760 this morning for the second time in about seven hours. Firefighters went to the hotel at 760 Queens Ave. at about midnight when a vehicle fire caused the exterior of the building to catch fire.

Firefighters went to the hotel at 760 Queens Ave. at about midnight when a vehicle fire caused the exterior of the building to catch fire.

Residents were evacuated again at about 7 a.m. after a second fire broke out.

No one was injured in the first fire. In the second fire, however, at least one person was taken to hospital with smoke inhalation.

The cause is under investigation.
