Ferry passenger on Coastal Renaissance died of heart attack, coroner says

A passenger on a B.C. Ferries sailing from Tsawwassen to Swartz Bay suffered a heart attack Tuesday and died, coroner Barb McLintock confirmed Wednesday. The male passenger was on board the Coastal Renaissance when he collapsed.

A passenger on a B.C. Ferries sailing from Tsawwassen to Swartz Bay suffered a heart attack Tuesday and died, coroner Barb McLintock confirmed Wednesday.

The male passenger was on board the Coastal Renaissance when he collapsed.

Sidney/North Saanich RCMP and the coroner were called to the vessel at Swartz Bay.

The delay forced the cancellation of the 5 p.m. sailing from Swartz Bay and the 7 p.m. sailing from Tsawwassen.
