A confrontational driver was arrested after a recent traffic stop in Campbell River.
As a police officer approached the vehicle, the 23-year-old driver got out to face him.
The officer became suspicious, detained the man and began an investigation, Campbell River RCMP said.
A “significant” amount of drugs and cash was found in the vehicle, and information gathered led to a search warrant at a local hotel, where more drugs and cash were found.
The driver was not the owner of the vehicle, which was seized.
The man, newly arrived in Campbell River, was also found to have more than 10 outstanding warrants in Alberta, police said.
