Drivers taken to hospital after head-on crash on Pat Bay Highway

A two-car crash shut down the Patricia Bay Highway just north of McKenzie Avenue on Friday. Saanich police told CHEK News that a southbound vehicle crossed the median and collided head-on with another vehicle just before 6 p.m. B.C.

Feb. 24, 2017 — Two cars collided head-on Friday evening on the Patricia Bay Highway near McKenzie Avenue.

A two-car crash shut down the Patricia Bay Highway just north of McKenzie Avenue on Friday.

Saanich police told CHEK News that a southbound vehicle crossed the median and collided head-on with another vehicle just before 6 p.m.

B.C. Ambulance paramedics took both drivers to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The road was closed for several hours as police investigated, reopening about 9:30 p.m.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
