Victoria police are treating the disappearance of Paul Martin Seal, who is wanted for allegedly breaching court-ordered conditions, as a missing person case.

Police said Seal is wanted on warrants connected to breaches of court-ordered conditions related to a 2009 fraud case, but police are primarily concerned about his safety and well-being.

The original wanted notice went out May 18. Officers were in contact with him, but have been unable to locate him and believe he is avoiding police.

Police say Seal made comments that made officers concerned for his well-being, and they are treating his disappearance as a missing person case.

Seal, 50, is described as white and six feet tall with a medium build. He has short, brown hair that is going grey, and a grey-and-brown beard. He is active on local Facebook pages and other online sites and is known to frequent the Yates Street Taphouse and the Strathcona Hotel. Seal runs the Victoria BC Today social media pages.

Police are asking for the public’s assistance in finding Seal.

If you see Seal, police ask that you call 911. If you know where he is, contact Victoria police at 250-995-7654 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
