Fire crews were on the scene of a small wildfire near Goldstream Heights on Saturday evening.
According to the B.C. Forest Service, the blaze was about one hectare in size. No structures were affected.
Twenty-three firefighters from the Malahat Volunteer Fire Department and the forest service worked on the blaze, which broke out west of the Malahat Drive north of Goldstream Provincial Park.

Donna MacPherson, fire information officer with the Coastal Fire Centre, said the blaze was human caused. Flames were at hip height at one point
Two air tankers swept the area and dropped retardant on the blaze early in the evening, which helped slow the growth of the fire and allowed crews to get in place to put it out, MacPherson said.
A helicopter and a tender — a truck with a water tanker on it — were also on the scene, she said.
MacPherson said the RCMP closed Goldstream Heights Drive to allow crews to work safely.
