Commodore Angus Topshee takes command of Pacific Fleet

Command of Canada’s Pacific Fleet was formally handed over to Commodore Angus Topshee at a ceremony at CFB Esquimalt on Thursday.

Command of Canada’s Pacific Fleet was formally handed over to Commodore Angus Topshee at a ceremony at CFB Esquimalt on Thursday.

Topshee takes over from recently promoted Rear Admiral Jeff Zwick, assuming command of the five frigates, six coastal defence vessels and three submarines stationed at CFB Esquimalt.

Rear Admiral Bob Auchterlonie, commander of Canada’s Maritime Forces Pacific and Joint Task Force Pacific, presided over the change of command.
