His death is being treated as a homicide, with the Campbell River RCMP Serious Crime Unit leading the investigation. Police believe the death is the result of a targeted crime and the public is not in danger.
“This is a major investigation that will take time to follow up on leads and uncover all facts surrounding the death of Joshua,” Campbell River RCMP Cpl. Ron Vlooswyk said in a statement.
