A man who apparently fell off a boat in the Sooke harbour has two Good Samaritans to thank for his rescue.
Sooke RCMP received a 911 call at 10:45 p.m. Tuesday. The caller said a man could be heard along the waterfront yelling for help.
A 48-year-old man was in the water beside his live-aboard sailboat, and the witnesses saw him dip below the surface as he weakened.
Two men got in a boat and brought the man to shore. He was taken to hospital by ambulance for treatment of hypothermia and is expected to make a full recovery, said Staff Sgt. Steve Wright of Sooke RCMP. — Times Colonist
