Saanich police caught one suspect with spray paint on his hands after the Gyro Park bathrooms in Cadboro Bay were vandalized Friday night.
Both bathrooms were covered in graffiti. When police arrived, they found foul words sprayed on the walls and stalls. They also saw several young people in the area.
“They all scattered,” said Sgt. Paul Lamoureux. “We caught one guy who had spray paint on his hands that was consistent with the graffiti colour.”
Police released the 15-year-old. He has not been charged at this point.
Police are looking for information about others who may have been involved.
“We’re looking for some help,” Lamoureux said. “There will be more investigations and I assume some questioning of some kids.” — Times Colonist
