Arrest made in connection with West Shore stabbing

A 17-year-old Langford girl was arrested early Wednesday in connection with a stabbing that left a 31-year-old man with serious wounds Tuesday evening. Two other suspects, a man and a woman, are also being sought.

A 17-year-old Langford girl was arrested early Wednesday in connection with a stabbing that left a 31-year-old man with serious wounds Tuesday evening.

Two other suspects, a man and a woman, are also being sought. It has not been determined whether the victim and the suspects know each other.

West Shore RCMP received a report of a man being stabbed about 5:20 p.m. Tuesday.

The call came from a home on Glennan Road, near Glen Lake, in Langford.

Police found the man with serious stab wounds on the Galloping Goose Regional Trail near Jacklin Road.

B.C. Ambulance paramedics rushed the man to Victoria General Hospital.

West Shore officers and a Saanich police department service dog conducted a search did not initially find any suspects. Officers are continuing to canvass residents and examine the scene.
