More than 400 riders from U-13 to expert divisions took part in Monday’s Bear X-ing cyclocross bike race at Bear Mountain, which consisted of multiple laps around a 2.5-to-3 kilometre course featuring pavement, trails, steep grass hills and obstacles.

Parker Bloom won the Expert Men’s race, while Carey Mark finished first in the Expert Women’s event.

Despite the action, some young spectators had their attention diverted by other things.
