Vancouver Sun
February 25, 2013

A 4.5-magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of Haida Gwaii this morning, but no tsunami warning was issued.

According to Earthquakes Canada, the quake happened at 5.41 a.m., about 52 kilometres south-southwest of Queen Charlotte City and 152 kilometres from the town of Masset.

There were no initial reports of damage and no injuries.

According to one earthquake reporting website, some residents felt short but strong shaking of their home.
