Gregory Brotherston appeared in Western Communities provincial court Monday and pleaded not-guilty to charges laid in connection with a home invasion at a Langford mobile home park on Oct. 6.
Brotherston, 31, has been charged with breaking and entering a mobile home at 2780 Spencer Rd. and committing assault with a weapon, and uttering a threat to cause death or bodily harm. He is also charged with the robbery of William Corlett, 78.
His lawyer, Richard Neary, is to appear in B.C. Supreme Court on Wednesday to fix a date for a three-day, judge-alone trial.
Brotherston, the youngest son of former Highlands councillors Marie and Ken Brotherston, is in custody at the Vancouver Island Regional Correctional Centre.
