Ferry service between Vancouver and Victoria is back to normal after a mechanical failure cancelled two sailings Saturday morning. B.C. Ferries spokeswoman Deborah Marshall said mechanics had to replace a bearing on the Spirit of British Columbia vessel, which cancelled the 7 a.m. departure from Tsawwassen to Swartz Bay and the 9 a.m. sailing from Swartz Bay to Tsawwassen. The mechanical failure created just one sailing wait out of Tsawwassen, Marhsall said. All other vessels on the route continued their service. The Queen of New Westminster sailed in place of the Spirit of British Columbia at 11 a.m. The Coastal Celebration sailed at noon from Swartz Bay and again at 2 p.m. from Tsawwassen. The one sailing wait was cleared up by noon.
