ATV driver dies in collision

Police are looking for witnesses to a fatal crash that occurred on a Quebec highway about 35 kilometres northeast of Ottawa on Friday night. A 50-year-old man was driving an ATV in the middle of the road without lights on, police said.

About 10: 30 p.m., the ATV hit a northbound Nissan Pathfinder. The driver of the ATV, Yvan Bergeron, was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said. The driver of the SUV was not injured. Police are investigating whether alcohol was a factor in the crash.
