A Surrey woman who suffered severe injuries in a domestic dispute last week has died.

Narinder Kaur Kalsi was taken off life support Sunday and pronounced dead just before 4:30 p.m., said the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team.

She was found by police in her home in the 19400-block 32nd Avenue on July 13 in severe medical distress and was airlifted to hospital.

Her husband, Baldev Singh Kalsi, was arrested.

The 66-year-old faces an attempted murder charge, which is now expected to be amended in light of Kalsi’s death.

News of Kalsi’s death was announced Sunday afternoon by the Gurdwara Sahib Brookside on its Facebook page.

Tributes poured in for her on social media, where she is remembered as a kind woman with a ready smile. Along with the sadness and condolences were calls for justice.

Kalsi was a regular at the temple, where her husband was also the president. He was removed from the position last week.

The couple has three adult children.
