Walker, Crooks three points apiece as the Royals beat the Cougars

VICTORIA - Ben Walker scored twice and set up one more as the Victoria Royals downed the visiting Prince George Cougars 5-1 on Friday in Western Hockey League action.

Jamie Crooks had a goal and two assists for the Royals (17-14-2) as Steven Hodges and Taylor Crunk each scored once. Brandon Magee chipped in with three assists.

Marc McNulty scored the lone goal for the Cougars (12-18-4), who lost for the first time in three outings.

Patrik Polivka stopped 19 shots for the win as Brett Zarowny turned away 29 shots in a losing cause.

Victoria went 1 for 4 on the power play while Prince George failed to score on three chances with the man dvantage.
