Sissons scores twice as Rockets down Giants

VANCOUVER - Colton Sissons scored twice as the Kelowna Rockets downed the host Vancouver Giants 5-1 on Friday in Western Hockey League play.

Tyrell Goulbourne and Tyson Baillie each had a goal and an assist for the Rockets (39-10-4), who have won 16 of their last 18 games, and JT Barnett added a single goal.

Dalton Sward scored the lone goal for the Giants (13-39-0).

Jackson Whistle made 32 saves for the win as Jared Rathjen stopped 24 shots in a losing cause.

Kelowna went 1 for 2 on the power play while Vancouver failed to score on six chances with the man advantage.
