Elderly woman makes bomb threat after medical appointment changed

The Canadian Press / Times Colonist
March 14, 2013

PENTICTON, B.C. - The RCMP allege an elderly woman called a bomb threat in to a health centre in Penticton, B.C. because she was angry her appointment had been changed.

Sgt. Rick Delebuur says the woman called the Penticton Health Centre Thursday morning and falsely claimed there was a bomb set to go off inside.

Police were called and the centre was evacuated, but no devices were found.

Delebuur says police have identified the woman, the investigation is continuing and it's not known if charges will be laid. (CKFR)
