The jury in Ruby Ann Ruffolo's first-degree murder trial made another brief appearance yesterday, showing up in B.C. Supreme Court only to be sent on their way again by Justice Mary Humphries.
The trial was expected to resume but Humphries asked the jury to return at 10 a.m. on Thursday. Humphries explained legal arguments will be heard today and tomorrow.
Ruffolo is accused of the 2003 murder of her husband, John Ruffolo, whose body was found in an old culvert off Humpback Road in Langford. He had been killed by a combination of heroin and amitriptyline, an antidepressant.
Humphries apologized to the jury for the inconvenience the trial is creating for them. It began March 3. -- Times Colonist
