Police seek witnesses after cyclist forced off road

West Shore RCMP want to talk to anybody who may have witnessed an accident early Friday morning on Lindholm Road.

At about 8 a.m., officers received information that a cyclist had been forced off the road by a passing motorist. The cyclist went over a cement barrier and rolled down a rocky hillside. His face, neck and legs were injured and he is unable to provide many details about what happened. He thinks he may have been forced off the road by a blue Ford Explorer.

The cyclist was riding in the 4000-block of Lindholm Road, on a curve of the hill on the right hand side of the road between 7:45 and 8 a.m. He was riding a yellow and black men’s mountain bike, wearing a green waterproof windbreaker with grey cargo shorts and carrying a black Swiss Army backpack. He was wearing a silver helmet.

Anyone with information should call 250-474-2264.
