After the deer come the cougars

Relative to the ever-increasing invasion of deer into our municipalities, I am totally confused. Are our inept politicians uncaring or lazy? I "deerly" hope that they are not a combination of both. Unresolved problems don't go away. They fester and become worse.

Deer have a penchant for reproducing extremely well - 50 per cent a year. As cougars become increasingly aware of where meals await, our properties will receive a second invader after deer.

Aggressive deer no longer fear us. Well-equipped cougars need not. They are a great risk to human life in an area where they don't belong.

Come on, politicians, you were elected to solve problems. This has gone on far too long. Relocate deer or cull them.

If you lack the courage for decision making, quit and never run for office again.
