A West Shore RCMP officer was flagged down by witnesses about 8:45 a.m. Wednesday reporting a car fire.
The driver had pulled over at the West Hills traffic circle when the vehicle began smoking. Within minutres, it was engulfed in flames.
Firefighters from Langford Fire Rescue extinguished the blaze.
The driver was not injured.
