Christmas craft fairs continue this weekend, with three events to choose from:
? Victorian Christmas: This is the 18th anniversary of this fair, with new vendors as well as old favourites. The traditional Victorian-style fair promises a host of local treats and original, quality handmade arts, crafts and gifts.
Look for hand-knits, Christmas ornaments, dolls, snowmen, beeswax candles, local beauty products, wooden Christmas trees, pottery, sheepskin slippers and Christmas baking. Sit and enjoy local seasonal treats at the Christmas Café.
Admission is $3, free for children under 12. The event runs 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Saanich Commonwealth Recreation Centre, 4636 Elk Lake Dr.
? Westshore Christmas Wonderland Craft Market: This juried craft fair celebrates the holiday season with a showcase of creative inspirations from more than 100 local artists and crafters. Presented by Earthly Goods Craft Market, the fair offers visitors the opportunity to meet the artisans behind the exhibits.
The three-day fair runs noon to 8 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Eagle Ridge Community Centre, 1089 Langford Parkway.
? Highlands Winter Craft Fair: Browse through a wide selection of work from local artisans, including handcrafted gifts, jew-elry, pottery, homemade edibles, cards, clothing and more.
Enjoy hot apple cider and fresh baking while browsing. Free admission. The event runs 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at Caleb Pike Heritage Park, 1589 Millstream Rd. The site has free parking and is wheelchair friendly.
