The Greater Victoria Harbour Authority holds its annual open house tonight. The authority manages a variety of maritime activities, from welcoming cruise ships that berth at Ogden Point to over-seeing private boat moorage in the Inner Harbour.
Tonight's event includes working harbour displays and presentations on sustainability initiatives. Other organizations at the event include the Maritime Museum of B.C., Sail and Life Training Society, Victoria Marine Rescue, Victoria Dragon Boat Festival and commercial ventures that use the harbour as a base.
The free event includes live music by Inner Harbour causeway artists. It runs 5 to 7: 30 p.m. in the Pier B Building at Ogden Point. For details, see gvha.v3.ca.
