This summer's smoky eye is deep and rich, but not dark and severe. Shadows in dark chocolate, caramel and coffee shades will add dimension to your eyes without deepening them "too harsh". We love the LORAC Unzipped Palette ($40 at Sephora) because its colours resemble brew at a busy cafe - a beauty-ful blend concocted for you and me!

Zoe Saldana's clean complexion is not void of makeup, though it's been carefully applied to achieve the 'no makeup' look. For women who like to look perfect but not fake, an everything-in-one cream like Garnier BB Cream Miracle Skin Perfector ($20 at drugstores) can offer the perfect solution. Formulated to perfect your complexion, moisturize and prevent early signs of aging, this cream'll do it all without appearing as too much of anything.
Arial Winter's dewy cheeks look cute but serve a purpose too. Swapping out powder blush for its creamy cousin will keep your skin looking (and feeling) hydrated and vibrant throughout the day. A warm punch of colour will help your complexion look lively and healthy, too. Pixi Sheer Cheek Gel ($20 at ebeauty.ca) and NARS Cream Blush in 'Lakoum' ($34 at narscosmetics.com) would both do the trick.
It's nice to see Diana Agron looking sparkly but sophisticated, since shimmer can be tough to wear. Here, it's been applied in the details - subtly in her skin, and a l'il bit on the lips. Try Rimmel Vinyl Max Lipgloss in 'Addictive' ($10 at drugstores) with an even complexion and bare eyes to let your lips pop.
'Raspberry kisses' no longer deserve a rude sub-context, and should relate to Emma Stone at the SAG Awards instead. Subbing out red, pink and orange for a modern rasperry is on-trend for the new season and a move we'd expect from none other than this timely starlet. Ms. Stone knows it, and Daphne Guinness knows it too - this beautiful berry shade called 'Narcissus' ($22) is from her collab with M.A.C. Cosmetics.
Kelly Osbourne is wearing fluorescents in the best possible way - against a neutral face, stark in comparison, and with plenty of confidence. Aside from evening-out your complexion, a bright lip shade like 'Flamingo' ($18 at M.A.C. Cosmetics) from the Iris Apfel collection is all you'll need to look youthful and 'cool' in the hottest way possible.
The 'new' cat eye includes a carefully-drawn wing-tip and perfectly highlighted high-points, like the inner eye and along the brow bone. Get a grip with Sephora Collection Doe Eyed Felt Eyeliner ($12 at Sephora), a liquid liner with loads of control-ability, and brighten everywhere else with M.A.C. Cosmetics Cream Colour Base in 'Pearl' ($21 at M.A.C. Cosmetics).
