WINNIPEG - Buhler Industries (TSX:BUI) saw profits soar 37.8 per cent in its most recent financial year as the farm equipment manufacturer achieved a second consecutive year of record sales and said 2013 look to be even better.
The company earned $16.4 million or 65 cents per share for the year ended Sept. 30, up from $11.9 million or 48 cents per share in the same year-earlier period.
Revenue rose 27.8 per cent to $361.2 million from $282.7 million.
"Sales for 2013 are expected to be higher than 2012," the company said in a release.
Buhler has factories in Manitoba, North and South Dakota and Minnesota.
