After Thursday, the entry fee for individuals will increase to $40 from $35. School team member registration will rise to $30 from $25.
“The TC 10K is a great value and the registration is one of the most reasonable race fees in Western Canada,” said race director Jacqui Sanderson. “Our run clinics are seeing larger than normal numbers and so we expect an increase in registration this year.”
The race is Canada’s second-largest 10-kilometre race. Last year, 12,483 people registered for the 10-km run and a 1.5-km family run. Participants can enter as individuals or as part of a team — there were more than 400 teams last year.
Entrants have the option of running or walking. In addition, children and parents can enter the Thrifty Foods 1.5K Family Run. To register, go to tc10k.ca or call 250-744-5538.
