People who want to be vaccinated against H1N1 swine flu and meet the eligibility criteria should report to the clinic at the Mormon Church in Saanich at 701 Mann Ave. now.
Officials with the Vancouver Island Health Authority say today’s clinic at the church, 9 a.m . to 3:30 p.m., has so far been under-utilized and is not very busy.
People who fall into the eligibility criteria for the vaccine are pregnant women, people under the age of 65 with chronic medical conditions, residents of remote communities, children six months to under five years old, and household contacts of infants under six months and of immunocompromised people.
Health care workers, primary care doctors, are eligible. And staff in high priority areas of the Vancouver Island Health Authority are also eligible but can get their shots through staff flu clinics.
