The Toronto-based quartet is set to play the Blanshard Street venue on Oct. 22, along with special guest Alan Doyle of Great Big Sea, as part of a 20-date, cross-Canada trek. They are touring in support of their upcoming album, Silverball, which is available June 2. Tickets purchased for the band’s Canadian tour include a digital download of the new album.

Seats for the Victoria date are $37.50, $60 and $88.50, plus service charges. They go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday through livenation.com and selectyourtickets.com.

Tickets can also be purchased in person at the Save-on-Foods Memorial box office (1925 Blanshard St.) and by phone at 250-220-7777. For more ticket bundles and VIP packages visit barenakedladies.com.

Poperatic quartet The Tenors will return to the Save-on-Foods Memorial Centre as part of a 70-city North American tour, promoter Live Nation has announced.

The sweet-singing group, which includes former University of Victoria student Clifton Murray, a native of Port McNeill, will perform at the arena on Oct. 5 in support of their forthcoming album, Under One Sky.

The album, which arrives May 4, features covers of songs by Bill Withers, Queen and Joe Cocker, along with new material written by the group.

A PBS TV special will air in tandem with the album’s release. The Juno Award winners worked on the new recording with Grammy Award-winning producer David Foster of Victoria.

Tickets go on sale on May 8 at 10 a.m. They can be purchased through livenation.com and selectyourtickets.com. They are also available in person at the Save-on-Foods Memorial box office (1925 Blanshard St.) and by phone at 250-220-7777.

Pioneering funk-metal band Living Colour will serve as the opening act on July 16 when rockers Aerosmith perform at the Save-on-Foods Memorial Centre, organizers have announced.

The concert will mark the first Victoria appearances by both acts.

Living Colour gained fame in the late 1980s for its Grammy Award-winning hit Cult of Personality. Glamour Boys, Open Letter (To a Landlord) and Love Rears Its Ugly Head are among the other notable songs from the New York group.

Living Colour has enjoyed a lengthy career and features the longtime roster of guitarist Vernon Reid, singer Corey Glover, drummer Will Calhoun, and bassist Doug Wimbish.

Tickets are on sale now for $199.50. They can be purchased online at selectyourtickets.com, in person at the Save-on-Foods Memorial box office (1925 Blanshard St.) and by phone at 250-220-7777.
