- On the first day of 2013 — when, let's face it, many of us won't feel our best — the tube is offering up comfort-food movie marathons. On Movietime, catch the entire "Die Hard" series, which will churn back into action this year with the Russian-set "A Good Day to Die Hard." Action fans might also be inclined to check out a marathon of the post-apocalyptic "Mad Max" films on AMC.

- Not everyone took the day off. In fact, there's a new episode of "Parenthood" on a day when most stores are shuttered. In this instalment of the big-hearted family drama, Crosby and Jasmine assist a family member having money trouble while Kristina debuts a new look. (NBC)
