- Those ringing in the New Year from the comfort of their couches have an abundance of celebratory options. "Entertainment Tonight Canada" is broadcasting from Niagara Falls, Ont., where Nelly Furtado and Hedley will perform for merry onlookers. "Citytv New Year's Eve Bash 2013," meanwhile, will capture festivities at Toronto's Nathan Phillips Square that include performances from Johnny Reid, the Tenors and Kardinal Offishall.

- The American New Year's specials are actually similarly packed with Canadian content. On ABC, catch "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest," which will feature performances from Canucks Justin Bieber and Carly Rae Jepsen as well as Psy, Taylor Swift and Flo Rida. NBC's competing program hosted by Carson Daly will include performances by Train and "The Voice" winner Cassadee Pope as well as appearances by a slew of network stars: Amy Poehler, Adam Levine, Cee Lo Green, Christina Aguilera, Donald Trump and Jimmy Fallon.
