William Shatner did not attend the USS Enterprise's retirement, after all.

A publicist for the actor said the former commander of the fictional starship Enterprise on TV's Star Trek abandoned plans to attend the ceremony Saturday at Norfolk Naval Station. He had earlier said he would attend. The publicist said Shatner had to rework his schedule. - AP
