Looks like we'll have to make due with the album.
Just three days after David Bowie surprised about everyone with news of an upcoming album, The Next Day – his first in close to a decade – his long-time producer Tony Visconti has said fans will likely never perform live again.
NME reports that Bowie is "fairly adamant" that there will be no live shows in support of the new album,
Visconti said, ""He’s fairly adamant he’s never gonna perform live again… One of the guys would say, 'Boy, how are we gonna do all this live?' and David said, 'We’re not'. He made a point of saying that all the time."
The news broke of the new album on Tuesday (January 8) – Bowie’s 66th birthday – along with the unveiling of a track from the album, “Where Are We Now?”along with a video, which we’ve included below.
The Next Day is due out on March 12.
