The Nylons return to toast the holidays

Veteran Canadian a cappella quartet The Nylons return to Nanaimo's Port Theatre tomorrow at 7:30 p.m. for a concert of seasonal favourites such as White Christmas, Joy To The World, and God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen, as well as their classic versions of The Lion Sleeps Tonight, Silhouettes and Up On The Roof.

The show will also feature an opening performance by the Nanaimo women's community choir, Bel Canto Singers conduced by artistic director Lionel Tanod.

The current Nylons lineup continues a tradition of vocal excellence that has sold seven gold and platinum recordings since the group's founding by four Toronto-based actors in 1979. The current group includes Gavin Hope, Garth Mosbaugh, Tyrone Gabriel and founding member Claud Morrison.

Tickets are $30. Call 1-250-754-8550 for reservations.
