VANCOUVER - Goldcorp Inc. (TSX:G) announced Monday that it is raising its monthly dividend by 11 per cent to five cents per share.
The Vancouver-based gold miner said after markets closed that the new, higher dividend will be paid Jan. 25 to shareholders of record on Jan. 17.
"Goldcorp remains committed to investing in our portfolio of high quality, high-return projects and returning capital to shareholders in the form of increasing dividends," president and CEO Chuck Jeannes said in making the announcement.
Goldcorp is a senior gold producer with operations in Canada, the United States, Mexico and Central and South America.
