Netflix says new 'Arrested Development' will stream in Canada after all

TORONTO - The Bluth family is coming to Netflix Canada.

Netflix announced Monday that the much-anticipated fourth season of "Arrested Development" will also be available north of the border when it hits the streaming service sometime next year.

It was about a year ago that the company announced it had reached a deal to exclusively carry a new season of the show, which ended its run in 2006 after being cancelled by Fox. Netflix has previously said it would only make the show available in the U.S.

The entire fourth season is to hit Netflix all at once, rather than episodes being spaced out week by week in typical broadcast TV fashion.

Starring Jason Bateman, Canadians Michael Cera and Will Arnett, Jeffrey Tambor, Jessica Walter, Tony Hale, Portia de Rossi, David Cross and Alia Shawkat, the beloved but ratings-weak show chronicles the lives of the dysfunctional Bluth family.

The show's creator Mitchell Hurwitz has hinted that a movie is in the works to follow the show's fourth season.

The first three seasons of "Arrested Development" are also currently available on Netflix in Canada.

Other titles that Netflix Canada says are coming soon to the streaming service include "The Dark Knight Rises," "Horrible Bosses" and "The Hangover Part II."
